MY FIRST VISIT
Welcome to the PalleVet veterinary practice
In order to make your visit pleasant and stress-free for you and your pet, please take a few minutes to follow our 8 tips:
1. HAVE YOU MADE AN APPOINTMENT?
All visits are by appointment only to minimize waiting time. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment so that your pet can acclimate.
Even if it is only for a "Mini Visit", please make an appointment in advance to reduce any unnecessary stress.
Please also contact us if you want to pick up medication or food so as not to stress our waiting pets unnecessarily.
Please note: If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact us (by phone, message, email) at least 4 hours before your appointment.
Any cancellation not communicated will be charged at the price of the consultation.
Thank you for your understanding.
2. IS YOUR PET STRESSED/SCARED?
If your pet doesn't like to go to the vet because he/she is fearful/stressed or has behavioural problems, please let us know when you make the appointment. This allows us to prepare your visit in the best possible way.
3.NOTHING FORGOTTEN?
Please bring all important documents with you, such as your pet's passport, behavioural questionnaire, a list of current medications, lab tests or x-rays.
4. ON THE WAY
We advise you to transport your cats and small mammals in a carrier so that your pet cannot escape. In order to avoid unnecessary stress, the transport box should be easy to open, e.g. the "Cat Carrier" - available at your PalleVet veterinary practice.
If your pet is stressed in the car or cannot stand the journey (e.g. vomiting), do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to provide you with something to make the car journey more pleasant for your fluffy friend.
5. ON ARRIVAL
Parking spaces are available in front of the office. Please leave the way clear for our neighbours.
If your pet is afraid of people or is stressed at the vet's office, please feel free to wait in your car or outside until your turn.
6. IN THE WAITING ROOM
Please take a seat in one of our 3 separate waiting rooms for dogs, cats and rabbits/rodents.
Are you coming with a dog and cat at the same time? Take a seat in our dog waiting room and take advantage of our cat parking to place your kitty's carrier.
7. "FEAR FREE" CONSULTATION
Certified "Fear Free", we do our best to minimize stress and maximize the positive experience of the visit to our office by:
A long consultation time
In the Fear Free concept, the consultation time at the PalleVet veterinary practice is deliberately extended to allow time for your pet to acclimatise, to examine our patients at their own pace, and to give you all the necessary information and explanations.
Our consultation fees are fair and adapted to the value of the act and the time given necessary.
Treats galore
If your pet is rather fussy, do not give him anything to eat before the visit and do not hesitate to bring his favorite treats.
If your pet is on a certain diet, don't forget to bring his usual treats/croquettes.
Respect for the patient's pace and tolerance
If the patient's health condition allows it, we are sometimes led to interrupt a procedure when we see that the stress, fear and discomfort of your pet exceeds a certain threshold. In this case, the procedure will be postponed and scheduled differently.
Please note: If the procedure for which you made an appointment cannot be performed that day, you will be charged for a "Happy Visite" consultation. The new consultation will then be replaced by a simple control visit.
8. AT THE EXIT
We make every effort to avoid unnecessary stress. If the next patient is already in the waiting room, you can leave the office through another exit.
Payment is due at the end of your visit. At the practice, you can pay by cash or card.
